NEW DELHI: CBI detectives had created for some "specific purpose", an email ID in the name of the murdered domestic help Hemraj to interact with the dentist couple Rajesh and Nupur Talwar during the investigation of the murder case Aaarushi-Hemraj said the agency today.
CBI, which had previously denied that e-mail ID 'hemraj.jalvayuvihar @ gmail.com' is used to call for interrogation Talwars, said now that the ID was created by a "specific purpose", who refused to explain.
"I was told by the officers concerned that the email ID was created to interact with Talwars for a specific purpose during the investigation," CBI spokesman Dharini Mishra here.
He declined to elaborate on this by saying that the matter is sub-judice.
Manoj Talwar's lawyer told PTI Sisodia had requested a document from the CBI recently that was sent from the email id. He, however, added that he does not know if the ID is of the ICC or not.
The Talwar couple were surprised to find that emails asking them to appear for questioning came from the email id not seen official.
Hemraj was her maid, whose body was found on the terrace a day after the murder of his daughter Aarushi age 14 at his residence in Jalvayu Vihar in Noida on the night of the intervention-16 May15, 2008.
The email bears the file number, name of the investigating officer and other details. The agency had said last year that person is summoned for questioning only by official identification or through formal processes.
