NEW DELHI: A woman of 22 years old, employee of the Delhi Jal Board was allegedly raped by an acquaintance and at least seven of his friends through Thursday night and dumped near the highway overpass on the Delhi-Ballabhgarh Agra. The victim managed to call the control room immediately and based on the number of cars recalled, a young man has been arrested.

The main defendant, however, remain at large, prompting complaints from relatives of victims who were being protected because of their political connections in the region. A case has been recorded in G section 376 (rape), 323 (voluntarily causing hurt) and 506 (criminal intimidation) at station 55 police sector.
