Centre has to take a decision on SC categorisation says Union Minister

Hyderabad, June 27: Union Minister for Social Justice and Employment Mukul Wasnik today said the Centre will decide on the classification SC.

Speaking to reporters after reviewing the implementation of the protection of Civil Rights Act of 1955 and the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act 1989, here, Mr. Wasnik said the center had sent letters to the governments of the states for the SC classification review.

After receiving the reports of the governments concerned, the Government of the Union to act accordingly and make the decision on classification, he said.
