Launching his campaign for the presidential election in which he appears set for a child's play, UPA candidate, Pranab Mukherjee on Saturday appealed to political parties that have supported him to support his candidacy, apparently looking Trinamool Mamata Banerjee Congress.
Mukherjee met UPA partner DMK key President M Karunanidhi at his residence in CIT Nagar in Chennai, formerly Kickstarting the campaign.The former finance minister, who enjoys a close relationship with Karunanidhi have been the emissary of Congress President Sonia Gandhi, on many occasions, said it was natural to start the campaign from here as DMK was a steady partner of UPA.
