Maruti Suzuki is hire psychiatrics to counsel for injured employees

NEW DELHI: Maruti Suzuki has decided to rope in psychologists and psychiatrists for counseling to employees injured at slaughter on July 18 at its plant in Manesar Although the company has not yet taken any firm decision on the resumption of production in the factory premises for combat.

The company has said that security and safety of workers is of utmost importance, said the initiative will help the effective healing of their labor.

The team of welfare workers laid down last week to quickly assess individual needs with the help of specialists on board" to conduct individual / group therapy sessions for the wounded. Counseling sessions start this week  the company said.


On the resumption of production, Maruti said, The company remains concerned about the safety and security of its people, so no (we are) able to make a decision on the resumption of operations at Manesar plant . the company will announce its decision to that effect only when it is assured of the safety of employees.

Workplace Violence in the plant had been about 100 injured and the death of a senior manager Awanish Kumar revealing. The incident is being investigated by a special team of Haryana Police, while Maruti is assessing damage to your plant.


Maruti said the attackers also set fire to the wing office in Manesar and the front door.After the incident, Maruti had declared a lockout at the Manesar plant on July 21, citing safety and health of employees.

But as production has stagnated, the models selling the company as the hatchback and sedan Swift Dzire are seeing long waiting lists on the market. The company said it is trying to reach customers who have booked the car to explain the situation in Manesar.
