HYDERABAD: The fear of a large number of vacancies in the course seems to be disturbing and private engineering universities are desperate to sell seats quota management even before the EAMCET ranks are announced. The result of this is the entrance of consulting firms seeking to attract parents and students with 'good' offers 'good' colleges and institutions that fail to attract good students.
Parents were contacted directly by representatives of the consulting firm and the messages were sent to mobile phones of the students by offering them places in 'packets'.Although Electronic and Communications Engineering (ECE) is 'sold' at a higher price, there is practically no difference between the price of ECE, Computer Engineering (CSE) or Mechanical Engineering this year unlike previous years.
The ECE headquarters is offered at Rs. 6 lakh (inclusive of tax of four years) in a college can find a place in the category of 50 to 100 degrees. A session in Mechanical Engineering or Computer Engineering is about Rs. 5 lakh. The fixed part of the government is about Rs. 90,000 per annum for management quota.
However, colleges with a reputable and sought after by students, of course for their infrastructure, faculty and placements are not on the list of these consultants. "It 'sa new trend. Previously only a couple of agencies used to work, but now the number has increased," says Kiran Reddy, who is looking for a place for his brother.
We are attracting teachers with details and submission of last year," he says.A consultant in the field agreed that several colleges approached them to sell seats.Except that the colleges can be found in the first 50 places of choice for the remainder of the students are desperate for some help from consulting firms. Most colleges are willing to give people management fee for convener quota, rather than letting go of the waste.
40,000 more seats:This year an additional 40,000 seats are likely to be added, that even in higher colleges, which have been permitted to increase considerably their seats. The middle and lower-level colleges are concerned about who will be hit hard with this increase in seats.Correspondent of a college in Moinabad agree that colleges were happy because they have better management places more to "sell".
