Hyderabad, June 30: Hero Akkineni Nagarjuna met Nimmagadda Prasad said the industrialist in jail Chanchalguda here on Saturday.
Speaking to the media later, he said he and Nimmagadda were great friends and met every day. He said he could not meet him due to unforeseen circumstances and therefore came to the jail to see his friend.
It is worth mentioning here that Nimmagadda was arrested in connection with disproportionate assets case against Congress leader YS Jaganmohan YSR Reddy. CBI has charged that companies had invested in Jagan for favors received from his late father Rajasekhara Reddy, in a quid pro quo understanding.
Earlier reports said that Nagarjuna had invested in the project Vanpic Nimmagadda. Had invested heavily in the matrix Export Investment (P) Ltd, said a report in an English newspaper.
The report on the accounts presented by the exportation Holdings Company with the Registrar of Companies, Nagarjuna Akkineni's name was mentioned. The report says that Nagarjuna shares held 2 lakh rupees. 10 each in the project. Nagarjuna is also said that he tried to withdraw their shares after Nimmagadda was arrested.
