Ranbir Kapoor does not appear before the court for the hearing

Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor not brought before a local court in connection with a case registered against him for allegedly smoking in public. The court has asked him to appear before it on July 26.

Ranbir Kapoor Photos smoking in a public place here last month while shooting for his next film, Yeh Hai Jawani Deewani had appeared in the local press.A complaint under section 156 Criminal Procedure Code (3) is presented in a court in Udaipur following that Ranbir was served summons asking him to appear in court today.

Harendra Singh, in charge of the station Ghanta Ghar Udaipur police, said that Ranbir has been booked for violation of Section 5 of the Rajasthan Prevention of Smoking Act.If the allegations are proved, the actor may be sentenced to six months imprisonment or punished by a fine of 200 rupees.
