NEW DELHI: "Hopefully now I will not be labeled an illegitimate child 33 years ago just because a woman trust a dishonest man," said Rohit Shekhar minutes after the test result of DNA was revealed by the Court Delhi High.
Welcoming the outcome of DNA testing, Shekhar made it clear that the problems of Tiwari is far from over, saying that legal battle against the most senior politician will depend on the opinion of his mother Ujwala Sharma.
Shekhar said he is now claiming their rights. "Whatever the legal right accrues to me and what he has done to my mother that she has every right to go to present what they want. Tiwari we will have to compensate for pain and mental agony, we have suffered all these years, "Shekhar said, adding that he would consult his lawyers and his mother to decide whether a case should be filed over its ownership Tiwari. The Hindu Succession Act allows an illegitimate child rights to ancestral property of his father.
Shekhar said he will also pursue a case before the Supreme Court to find that words like "concubine", "motherfucker" and "illegitimate" be deleted from the law books.
