Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi on Friday wanted to know if there was a lack of coordination between Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and former Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee.
"After 20 years, Manmohan Singh, has returned to the Minister of Finance. In the last 24 hours has been taking measures and publicize the economic reform policies," said Modi, speaking at an event in Ahmedabad.
"What was the reason for that being the prime minister were not able to do the same ads over the past eight years, but they are doing in the last 24 hours after Finance Minister resigned?" Modi asked.
"It was the finance minister not listening? Or was there a lack of coordination between you and the Minister of Finance?"
Mukherjee recently resigned as FM after being nominated as presidential candidate of the UPA.
In an interview with a newspaper, Singh had said he would work to making India a more favorable business, reducing unnecessary procedures and reduce the fiscal deficit.
"What is the secret that after his finance minister, has quit the process of economic recovery with great enthusiasm?" Modi said, adding that both Singh and Mukherjee, must answer this question.
