MUMBAI: Sachin Tendulkar Ask about life after cricket, and is unlikely to go far. He states that he will continue playing until about 45.
When asked about their options after cricket, Pat comes the 39-year-old response. "It will be difficult to answer what I'll do 5-6 years from now."
It is evident from the man who has scored more runs than anyone in international cricket, retirement is the ugliest word in the language (as the late writer Ernest Hemingway famously said).
"Every time I think I left it, when you can afford to divert my attention to other things. Until then, my focus is on cricket," said the man who is arguably the world's best ET hitter history in an hour of exclusive chat after presenting the new BMW 3 Series on Friday.
The time for the things of others can be a timeout, but that is not prevented pursue his other passion - cars. His eyes light up in the same way they would to hit a Shane Warne googly out of the park, when he talks about a recent test of the new BMW 3 Series in England as part of a promotion exercise.
"To enjoy these cars on the track is an awesome experience," says Sachin, who also recalls the days when karts with friends all night until 5 am.
Was not always like Sachin, who fell in love with cars at the age of 6 when he looked out the balcony on the wheels that pass.
In the days when "my pockets were not deep," Sachin's first car was a Maruti 800, followed by the now defunct Maruti 1000. Then, as the track began to arrive, at age 21, slipped behind the wheel of a BMW 320i second hand BMW.
Although there has been a Ferrari in the middle, projectors today was all the way, not only for the Master Blaster, but the whole family.
Sports management, motor sports, cricket administration - Sachin insists that it has begun to think of all these alternatives for life after hanging up the gloves of cricket.
