Sania says I cann't promise medals in Olympics

Hyderabad:. "It is a very happy occasion for all of us This is my fourth Olympics, but the first time I attend a function," said Ismail Baig rowing coach during a function cards, organized by the Sports of Andhra Pradesh, in honor of the athletes in the state, which represents the country in the coming 2012 Olympics in London.

For many of the athletes was a pleasant surprise to be honored by the state ahead of a tournament as important. In the past, greeting functions were carried out only after the events, but the first of its kind gesture, the SAAP had thought fit to be a memorable night for the athletes and thus boost their morale.
"This is a great honor for us and hope to do well and win some medals for the country," said Baig.


Saina Nehwal, Jwala Gutta, P Kashyap, Ashwini Ponnappa, V Diju (all badminton), Sania Mirza (tennis), Manjeet Singh, Sandeep Kumar, Swarn Singh (rowing) were athletes who welcomed the opportunity. Pullela Gopichand coaches (badminton) and Ismail Baig (Rowing), MA Aziz technical officer (judo) and Ravi Shanker P were also honored.

Tennis ace Sania said it was a great gesture by the government. "It's a great honor to represent the country and especially to belong to Hyderabad. It's great to be honored by the government before the Olympics. I would definitely motivate everyone to do well. I am proud to be a Hyderabadi and although not I can promise medals, but we will give our 100 percent and back to front up.
