HOUSTON: Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney, was booed by a crowd African-American on Wednesday when he said it would eliminate the achievements of President Barack Obama signed the policy, the U.S. health care reform.
Romney's conservative message does not sit well with an audience of the NAACP's annual convention. The crowd of hundreds in a ballroom applauded politely half-filled at times until it got to the part of his speech where he said that if elected on November 6, will work to repeal and replace the health plan.
I will eliminate all expensive, non-essential program. That includes Obama care, "Romney said. Then the boos erupted.
Romney seemed disturbed by the reaction. He noted boos when he said the Democratic president had promised to create more jobs, but "will not, can not, and his record of the past four years proves it."
And boos erupted again when he said. "If I am president, a job for me will be the creation of jobs I have no hidden agenda If you want a president who will do better in the African American community, you are viewing. Him."
