When asked about Indian cricket's chances in the upcoming Twenty20 World Cup, as is happening in the sub-continent, again Manjrekar kept simple. "I feel Twenty20 World Cup is a lottery. It's a small tournament that lasted just two weeks, I just can not predict who will win.
"I also think T20 World Cup has come early. Should have taken a little longer for T20S to establish as a concept before serving out the World Cup," he added.Manjrekar has always been of the opinion that the BCCI cricket brain to use Rahul Dravid to improve the game in indian cricket.
"He (Dravid) is a model for all young people. Although hardly read it say about certain things, I think has a good cricket brain. After going to be put in charge of certain things I am sure will do extremely well, "said Manjrekar.
